FAQs

What makes south side schoolhouse a co-op?

We are a dedicated group of families who work together to provide a safe place for area homeschooling families to learn, grow, and make new friends.  Our co-op can only be successful when each family makes a significant contribution of time, energy, and skills. For this reason, we have specific expectations regarding families' commitments. These commitments include teaching/aiding, subbing, and cleaning.  Beyond specific volunteer-position requirements, we need all of our families to come together as a community to create a supportive environment for all.

Relaying of important co-op related news and information via GroupME messaging app.

South Side Schoolhouse, Inc. utilizes the GroupMe messaging app as its preferred method for regular communications, relaying of information, answering of general questions, etc.
This application is completely FREE and available on both Android and iOS devices.  Use of GroupMe for communications is strongly recommended in order to avoid missed information regarding co-op happenings.
